Azul

Azul is an i-Ready character that appears in i-Ready lessons of an early to high grade level (Levels B-H) in both Math and Reading. He often appears with Olive and G.O, as he is part of the Rise Over Run team. He can also be seen in the same lesson as Sweet T, Pepper Jackie, Jake, and others. It is implied that Azul is interested in basketball and is his favorite sport. That is why Azul's best friend is Axel who also plays basketball.

Appearance[]

Azul has brown hair that curves up together. He wears a navy blue jacket with yellow stripes around the shoulders and under the collarbone, with a white shirt under. He also has somewhat Adidas pants, navy blue with yellow stripes on both sides. Lastly, Azul has black shoes (could be Velcro) with yellow bottoms and white socks. In older lessons, he wears a checker shirt and a shirt with a recycle sign.

Azul has a grandma, Grandma Erma.

Azul attends Central City School.

Azul loves sports, especially basketball of which is his favorite.

Azul's best friend Is Axel who also loves sports.

Azul once communicated with Theodore Roosevelt at Mount Rushmore in one of his daydreams.

Azul is very strong.

Azul loves to eat snacks he even snatched a snack from Bake Stars while in a contest.

Logically, Yuri should be Azul's sister or cousin since Yuri is Grandma Erma's granddaughter and Azul is Grandma Erma's Grandson.

Azul is one of the tallest characters in i-Ready, towering over almost every character. In some lessons he is even called "big guy.”

Azul was a competitor and even won the Are You Smarter Than An Astrophysicist? (Oncore Edition) challenge in a Level H math lesson titled "Operations with Numbers Expressed in Scientific Notation."

Azul once got olive juice poured onto him by Olive.

Azul is voiced by Steve Blum.

In the deleted lesson "Explaining The Structure Of A Poem - Level E" there was a glitch where Azul's jacket logo disappeared and reapeared throughout the lesson.
In the deleted lesson "Concept of a Function - Level H" Azul's jacket logo appeared for 3 seconds and disappeared it did not reappear again on this lesson.
